Thankful Thursday

Happy Thursday Ladies! Hope all of you are having a great week back to school! I am starting something new on the blog today and would love for all of you to participate! Each Thursday I will choose one of you to share a few things you are thankful for from the week. God blesses us daily with so much! What better way to share with our friends than on this blog! I am going to share my blessings today!

I am so very thankful for this little man and his great start to Kindergarten this week! Couldn't have made it through without prayer from all of you! He is loving school!

Without fabulous volunteers, last night's Back 2 School Concert wouldn't have happened! We are so very thankful for all of our adults who take their time to work with our students!

We have the best student ministry around! So thankful for all of our students who participate and come to all the exciting events we offer! Stellar Kart rocked God's house!

Very thankful for the opportunity to go hear Beth Moore this weekend with the ladies of the church! (And for my wonderful husband who has daddy duty this weekend!)

And finally, coffee. For without it, I wouldn't have made it through the week and these early mornings!!!

Back 2 School Concert

Back 2 School Concert is TONIGHT! Don't forget your school supply to get in for FREE! Doors open at 5:30 with FREE pizza and soda! Hope to see all of my girls there and meet some of your new friends! It's going to be a great night of worship!

Life Accessories

I just loved our conversations at Chick Chat this summer. One of the topics was about how important it was to put on the right life accessories every day. It is hard to focus on the "life" when all of the fashion magazines and commercials promote the "must-haves" of the season! Hopefully, in our hearts we know we will be okay without all of the latest trendy accessories. There are some real "must-haves" that God considers essential to a girl's look! Real beauty has little to do with fashion accessories. Our true look is based on who we are on the inside and how our heart looks determines the way we look on the outside! No matter how much we do to ourselves on the outside to be beautiful, if we don't have the right inside accessories, we won't look great! Below are the list of Life Accessories that are God's "must-haves" in every season!

*Security-trusting that no matter what, we have a God who loves us

*Identity-in knowing who we are and whose we are

*Value-knowing we are treasured

*Love-knowing God's love for us so we can love others

*Self-control-for making good decisions

*Peace-in believing God is in control

*Joy-in knowing the Source of all joy

*Contentment-in who God made you to be

Wearing these life accessories everyday makes you beautiful on the inside and out! Ask God to show you what "accessories" you are lacking and try putting these on every morning instead of having to have the latest trend! Others around you will see God's beauty within you!
