Music Review~Burning Lights
Let me just start by saying that I love worship music! Many times, this is my only time to really worship and praise God when I am in my car listening to music. As most of you know, I had the chance to go to Passion again this January. Lucky for us, Chris Tomlin was coming out with a new CD the next week and we were able to not only hear and sing some of the new songs on it, we were also able to purchase the CD early! This is by far, one of my all time favorite CDs! EVERY song is great! It features many duets with other famous artists including Lecrae, Christy Nockels, Kari Jobe, and Phil Wickham. There are songs on the CD from Passion last year: White Flag; Jesus, Son of God; Lay Me Down, but it also has new songs like the popular Whom Shall I Fear. The message is the same throughout: Trusting God, Loving Him and Loving Others! The CD is so wonderful that it was #1 on the Billboard charts, which is the 4th time in history a Contemporary Christian Album has done so! How awesome is that?
If you have not heard this CD, I would highly recommended buying it or downloading it! I promise you will be singing along and praising God as you listen to it the first time!!!
Here is a link to a short video that Chris Tomlin made about the story behind the song "Whom Shall I Fear?"

Thankful Thursday
Today is Thankful Thursday! For some of you, you would probably be very thankful to go home and curl up in your pjs with a blanket on this cold, rainy day like I would! Here are a few things I am thankful for this week:
1. Thermometers, Children's Advil, Lysol, Clorox Wipes...just to name a few. Cade has been home most of the week with a fever virus so I have been trying to disinfect everything all the time. I am thankful for medicine to help him feel better though!
2. Modern Worship is FINALLY starting this weekend! It has been a long time coming, but it is here! We are having two preview services this month with the first one on Sunday! I am so excited to see where God is going to take this added service to our church and the people who are going to come to know Christ through it! Stephen is preaching this Sunday and I can't wait to hear him! Say a little prayer for him!
3. Basketball...Cade is playing in his first year of Upward and it is so much fun watching them play! He is doing very well and I'm not bragging but is a pretty good baller! (I'm his Mom, I can say that). I also love that God is all a part of this program!
4. This silly girl and our sweet Samson! She makes me laugh every day!
5. Finally, I am thankful that inGroups have started back! Nothing like meeting with a small group on Sunday nights and digging into God's Word together! I am excited for all the studies our students will be doing! If you are not a part, please join a group this week!
I would love to hear from my girls on what they are thankful for! Contact me and let me know! Have a great Thankful Thursday and weekend!

Morgan
